Today I Baked

Today I baked what Swedes call bullar.

(We say buns

with cinnamon).

They came out wonky.

Every single piece

Looked wonky,

Not one bun done twice

The same;

All shapes and sizes tasting nice.

Well, more than nice.

Delic-ee-ice!

Not failure at which you might scream:

Not failure ruining self-esteem,

But variations on a theme.

Perhaps that’s all there should be

To make daily life, well, whim-

sical.
