Moment Of Silence
(during the 10th memorial anniversary of 9/11)
Be silent brain,
Be silent brain,
Be silent brain!
With the best intentions
Will wants stillness.
Still, I see the shifting bodies
In the crowd.
Obama, Bush, their wives
Chins bowed,
We believe them,
Trust their focus.
All sincere, each one sincere,
Desirous, all of us
Of peace outside and in;
But, there’s the brain,
That noisy brain, the stumbling block
Smacking the will from wall to wall.
Shut up, dear mechanism,
And obey me.
