Clocking The Hairs 2011

Clocking The Hairs

Clocking the hairs

Beneath the nose;

The darkened skin above the lips

Where pores refuse to close;

Hairs grow and must be tweezed;

And creases, lines

Map patterns monthly more complex;

Unflattering, impossible to fight,

Erase

Or smooth;

Impossible to hide

The death of youth;

Impossible to mask or color;

Only possible to cultivate ignor-ance.
