After The Concert 2014 2nd draft

At The Concert*

A pearl of the heart ran down her cheek.
She daren’t speak;
Still and mesmerized, she listened –
Only listened.
While a cheekbone glistened,
She, absorbed in song and sound
Did not, could not look round
To see if others’ hearts
Were as transparent.
Cocooned in music’s magic,
Emerged a butterfly
When whole was over;
Taking flight with memory,
Its only Now, the sole accessible,
One get-at-able Now for Always –
Hers.
