The Relativity Of Fame

The Relativity Of Fame

Suddenly a name pops up.

You’ve never heard it, seen it, said it;

Not an inkling as to where it’s from,

Nor foggiest idea its frame.

Everywhere, you can’t escape it:

Fame.

Gaga, Swift, Kardashian:

With not an whisper as to what they do,

Everybody seems to know but you,

Who have no glimmer of their glamour.

Generation you was Taylor, both Elizabeth and Robert;

Lollobrigida, Bardot and Loren.

Now surrounded by new genre,

You’re a foreigner. However,

Be consoled.

The folk in Timbuktu

Have never heard of them or you.

Fame.

It’s relative.
