Tired of Things

I’m tired of things. No longer magnetized,

Weary of the world. I’ve eaten

Every morsel that the planet has to offer;

À la mode for decades; lived

In countries/in the country, mountains;

Husbands, houses, gardens, romances,

Old cars, new ones, sex, necklaces and rings —

I’ve had a mountain of experience,

Now, I find I’m tired of collecting:

Tired of things.
