I Love My Cat

I love my cat.

He has no pride.

If I should sit outside

He saunters out and joins me.

If I should suddenly decide to move, it takes awhile,

But there he is, the silent spooky, cooky cat

Spontaneously sat!

“What’s so wonderful ‘bout that?” you ask.

There’s never a reproachful word,

No “where’ve you been?

Why weren’t you here?”

I love his undemanding conduct,

Manners without ego

As we go

through life attending one another

Unintentionally.
