Little Plastic Brain
Little plastic brain
Wherein lies cleverness;
Weighing less than elephant’s,
Weighing more than dog’s or cat’s:
Nothing short of magical:
A wonder and a marvel.
Plastic (such a funny word)
Object whereof I can write
This poem: an ode
To limitless potential,
Promises we picture
Dormant till an unknown future
Wakes them up.
Imagining what is not there,
Interpreting what is:
Influencing body parts,
Giving feelings, tender hearts.
Mysterious, and under all,
Plastic and invisible.
No DNA. no chemistries;
The will –
That wants, intends, decrees.
Still brain,
Its billion processes
I thank you with my will to want to,
Thank you with my brain to do so.
