Does A Molecule Have Energy?
When atoms group together
As the smallest fundamental mass,
The smallest compound that takes part
In chemical responses,
Does it have vitality – the energy
To power body/mind activity
To make us what we are,
A magic self within a star,
A human elf, compared
To galaxies and pixies?
Universes made the same?
Embryo of spirit’s germ,
Oddly stemmed in shape of limb: leg and arm?
We, the charming-est of form,
The Sanskrit Om, Hebrew Amen?
“Truth, Certainty and Peace” in one?
If the molecule is energy
Composed of chemistry and substance
In acceptance of its origins,
The genesis
Of us
Is heaven’s dust
Far from the sphere of atmosphere and ether.
