Z: Epilogue
Epilogue:
The final word.
I’ve got to stop this time,
This volume;
For if I continue here
(Without exposure)
I’d go on for countless dawns.
So, I’ll try
To say goodbye,
Put out this book,
Haul in a reader to shout, “Look,
Hey, this is great!
I think I’ll tell my mate,
Aunts, cousins, uncles…”
Books which are til now debacles.
Every poem worked on for hours
To bring clarity, some power
For the mind to scour, well, devour;
With ambition they’ll feel genuine,
Illuminating and benign.
As for those you find too saccharine,
Inclined to make you lose your interest,
Know I did my gifted best
To contemplate them off my chest,
Writing being life’s compulsion.
Yours,
Arlene Faith Nover Corwin
