Exactly what happened today – although I missed two or three before writing this. Pass it on if you think someone will benefit.
Every Thought Is Worth A Poem
Every phrase that comes to mind
Has some beginning undefined;
Thought ever personal,
Bottom idea universal,
(The undisclosed, the unrevealed always so.)
Every thought brought into view
Is worth a line or forty-two.
Somewhere, someone
Who may chance upon
Your art and your unique creation;
Someone on the planet –
They, Inclined by their penchants,
Who’ve found your work by chance’s
Cause, effect, time’s lapses
Will be someone who ‘gets’ every word –
Enjoys its essence.
Summing up;
Thoughts worth a poem,
Themes hitting home
Marrying the thought to word –
Memory flying like a bird.
Leaving thought to carry on –
Once the seed of thought is gone,
Ought to be caught and written down,
For every thought deserves a poem.
