Comfort

         Comfort

A word most fascinating:
Verb and noun.
As noun it’s often ‘living in’ prosperity, lifestyle secure.
As verb we get the meaning of the sense of…
Giving solace, sympathy, assure, insure;
Comfort lifts in any sense, immensely.

Are noun and verb in keeping with each other?
Compatible, harmonious –
In tune with one another?
No. Well, possibly.
“He lives in comfort ‘cause he’s very rich”
“His character is wanting ‘cause he doesn’t reach
His fellow man.
He doesn’t comfort anyone.”

Oh, those words!
They can be curds or turds.
Absurd as this may sound,
It’s words that make the world go ‘round.

Source of quiet or disquiet,
Idiot or chariot;
Comfort is a mascot to reboot life’s character.
Rather like a brother,
Who is there in every weather,
Save for sometimes when it
Is a quilt,
To warm you to your total hilt..

To fill your cup
And help you cope,
Give you hope,
Look it up.
