Happy New You #2
Yesterday was Happy New Year,
From now on
It’s Happy New You,
Year no more the main attraction,
Not the issue or the question.
One wakes up to to see, to hear
That fireworks have injured nearly
Fifty; cars burnt out, abuse –
And that is just the local news.
Personally, I feel just fine
Despite the champagne, sweets and wine;
My husband too.
All I can say is Happy You,
My hope that you’re refreshed each day,
Fresh and alive
The next three hundred sixty five!
