Is it happened to you too?
Growing, Creeping Numbness:
Day Seventeen :The War
It’s sickening
That one gets used
To the abuse.
We, watcher and observer
Lose the shock first sensed, experienced.
Human nature,
Surely, sadly happening,
The brain reaching indifference,
Shutting out or down the pain,
As if one’s drowned and died:
A way toward calm, of hiding.
Human nature –
Shameful as it sounds.
A self-protection
From the mirror of the horror, terror:
Putin’s error.
Every soldier,
Following his orders
Blindly led,
While I, in bed
Try to avoid the bleeding,
Reading wise and holy men
In order to re-train,
Restrain a worried mind.
War finds its grim trajectory
To everywhere.
