Watching The Now
Isolating muscles, breath,
Concentrating on a troth;
A point of truth;
At a juncture, staying there,
Long as capability is able;
Taking in the ‘you yourself’,
For self’s what makes you knowable.
As will prevails,
Hour’s power not sail away,
You may sense the endless aspects
Of existence;
Multitudes to choose among,
And when direction from within goes wandering,
Bring it back to focusing.
Find a locus’.
Restlessness the cause of movement.
Longing, boredom the dissolvent,
Mind’s aim is to think, to prove.
Inspect, respect it,
Soothe and bring it back to now,
For now is all you ever own but never keep,
Superficial and/or deep.
Watch from wakefulness to sleep.
