The Mixture

Here’s the preface to sum up the whole of what I write about.

     The Mixture

A mixture of the spiritual, political,
Philosophic, Brooklynese,
(A few so-called conspiracies),
Health and wealth and stealth and filth.
Mixed with love observed, reactive
To the times and culture;
Fixture, vulture of the words above.

Climate change, ramifications;
Conflict between unknown nations:
My sensations.
Varied pictures: tears and joy,
Fun and toying with it all,
For writing verse is ‘what-a-ball!’
Art, refining mind and heart,
Intellect become much smarter.

Growing daily,
Turning mixture into alloy:
Sympathy and empathy
Giving greater strength/resilience to corrosion
While erosion and explosion
Turn into much more than some notion.

All that’s learned is: All things change,
Expand and shrink
Return again: in stranger syncs,*
But same old think,

It stings and still I sing my song.
Noting that it makes me stronger;
Mixture, fixture, exploration
Shunning nought that comes along;
For all’s a phoenix of harmonics;
Comics, complex and dynamics;
Climax, anti-climax and heroics.
(to be funny, relieve tension)
I will use the rhyme: chopsticks)!

For anyone for whom English is a 2nd language, write to me and I will be glad to summarise the theme. It won’t be ‘artistic’ but it will satisfy people like my Swedish husband for whom “The Mixture” is quite, quite incomprehensible.
I wishfully suggest that you keep a dictionary by your side.
